What is the difference between snapshot and fine art? Snapshot photos are taken in the simplest way with a low amount of effort. Whereas fine art takes time and a lot more effort to capture. Snapshot photos require very little to no photo-graphical effort and can be simply taken with cheaper camera wear such as a phone or a point and shoot camera. Fine art is more often taken with more expensive and advanced equipment such as a DSLR or an expensive Nikon, Canon, Kodak or Polaroid. A snapshot picture is shot spontaneously and quickly as life goes on. They are usually captured amateurish and out of focus. Snapshots are taken without true artistic intent, they capture random moments. Fine art is often taken a bit more seriously, it captures an artists perception and radiate it through a photo to the viewers eye. Fine art photos are often taken for public viewings or display, and in some cases, for sale.
